If you're practicing a Yoga meditation you are obviously learning about yourself as spirit.  I would suggest that you also learn spiritual grounding and that will assist you to bring you as spirit into your body.

All meditation is beneficial.  I've been practicing it for an hour a day for more than thirty years and it has literally been a life savor.  There are more than one hundred different varieties of meditation and I use the kind where I sit in a chair in the Pharaoh position while I ground, center, and run my energies - earth and cosmic, which everyone has.  Again, all meditation is beneficial but the cross legged kind drives you as spirit out of your body while other energies can take over.

I am former military and have been in front line combat and also an air disaster and panic attacks were common for me before learning meditation.  With my meditation I can be in the present moment and let the panic disturbance go down my grounding connection to the center of the Planet where it is neutralized.  Grounding is a spiritual gift and you can be grounded 24/7.
