Bare in mind that too much alkalinity causes just as much problems. The ratio needs to be 80-20% Also some Cancer patients have got far worse when they've gone alkaline compared to being acidic this is well known and Dr Richard Loyd speaks of this so in some people it doesn't work quite the same.

Now having hiv doesn't mean this is the cause of your acidity! Again it will be diet and lifestyle as always. I still dont see why people are bringing up hiv which to myself is non-existant and to THE AUTHORITY Peter Deusberg claims is harmless. This is an AIDS forum so yes the Alkalinity is an issue across the whole board but the hiv side is a joke which doesn't need promoting!
