these guys are apparently of the opinion that all ionization is bad.... See this quote:

radiation can be ionizing, but not all ionization is caused by radiation... and, whether ionization is seen as harmful or healthy depends... if your body is clogged full of positively charged/oxidized metals and toxins... a stream of negative ions to help pull this junk out would bring a much needed benefit.
