the ticks were nymphs of the Lone Star tick and had not yet developed the star. An entomologist agreed with the id.
Your dried worms were fascinating but an id was not possible. I did however photo the collection of them on the paper where they were stuck. If you could send one of them in a small pill bottle of alcohol, I will photo and id them along with placing the photos for all to view. Promises, promises!
