Re: the real bible?
Hi Smoothman,
There is nothing wrong with the King James Bible. If there was you an be sure that God would not have allowed it to be escape many book burning and persecution throught out the ages. However , in this modern time the English language has changed somewhat from the "Thee's" and the thou's" and the "Ye's" to "You" and 'me" and "they" and "them" which is why many differant translation have come out only in the last 50 years.
It is really quite the opposite of what you were thinking. The King James Version is the one that hold much of the original meanings of certain words. Whole monestaries of Christian monks used to devote thier lives to the keeping of the Holy Book and would even copy the the Bible by hand for churches, kings or certain rich people that knew how to read. Back in those old times they didn't have printing presses and most people were uneducated, not like today.
It is certainly quite a history that King James Bible has and has been through alot of translation, mostly translated from Hebrew, Greek, and Latin because those were the buiness languages of the world back then.
If you would like to understand more about it ,I will leave you with a website that you can download for free some different Bibles and concordances, ect and you can choose from there.
