Re: Stomach Noises...HELP!

The noises from your stomach are called borborygmi, and are due to contractions in your bowel wall called peristalsis, which are designed to move fluid and food along in your gut.
The amount of borborygmi is related to the activity of the gut and the amount of gas produced by the bacteria that ferment the food in your gut.
So your stomachs churning and you can hear it. It's looking for something to churn and there's nothing in there. Maybe you need to eat. Is it muffled when you have eaten a meal?
I too had this problem. I thought it was weird that I could completely hear it.
Antispasmodic that can help reduce the bowel spasms.
A variety of types of involuntary muscle activity may be referred to as a "spasm". Examples include muscle contractions due to abnormal nerve stimulation, or abnormal activity of the muscle itself. Colic is episodic pain from spams in smooth muscle (like your stomach). Not just for babies.
