Skin on lips keeps sliding down

Hi. I recently started the moisturize method, using aquaphor on my lips every night. The skin on my lips became very white and thick.

The skin on my bottom lip keeps sliding down whenever I eat or drink from a straw. It's the skin in the middle and to the right of the bottom lip moves down and exposes the raw skin in the inner lip region. It moved down to almost uncover half of the bottom lip in the inner lip part. I keep pushing it back up but it just goes back down whenever I drink from a straw or eat. It's annoying because when I eat, the inner lip parts are exposed so my lips keep sticking to each other and feel like they are being damaged. Should I just leave it alone or keep pushing the skin back on and has this happen to other people doing the moisture method before?
