Re: Saliva test results. What should I do? Please help
Your salt issues are super confusing.
Sorry I misunderstood you at first because most people use expression sodium retention or water retention interchangeably. I did :)
And it's true about the renin-angiotensin-aldsterone system! It's virtually impossible to grasp that.
I wish somebody explained to me in plain words how that whole thing works. It looks like it involves the heart, the lungs, the kidneys and vascular system all at the same time.
I'll have to look into this further because I think I have a HUGE problem with maintaining the sodium balance, so I'll let you know if I find any understandable info on that.
Can you tell me a bit more about those mutations please if you don't mind?
I had dopamine issues since I was a kid and always tried to self-medicate because of that. Now I have to rely on Wellbutrin (it's a dopamine norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, so it helps with all those anhedonia symptoms) just to physically function and I wonder if I'll have to stay on it for the rest of my life then. I hope not...
I remember in one of your other posts you mentioned something very interesting about the MTHFR gene -I wanted to ask where do you get that test done and if it's really worth it because I'm afraid to find out something scary that will make me obsess on my health even more:) Is this true that the insurance company might be able to obtain those results as well? I know it's a rumor but you never know:)
