Probably, nobody knows, or else there is no perfect amount. All I can conclude is that the required amount seems likely to be much much more than what was recommended for human by a veterinarian 65 years ago when the alleged RDA was promulgated, and that Iodine appears to have value in assisting the body to expel a whole bunch of bad stuff, and appears to fix a lot of other things like FBD in a large proportion of female subjects.
