Awesome, congrats on the baby and the EZ delivery. I had a difficult experience myself back when I had my son in '82. They induced labor, because my water broke, days went by, and labor still hadn't begun. I'm still not even sure if I should have just waited on it. So I was on Pitocin and labor was long drawn out.
At that time I hadn't even heard of Lugol's. Luckily though, I was taking kelp tablets throughout pregnancy and I did have a beautiful, very intelligent baby boy, about the same weight as yours!
