a question about Niacin - dry skin (Newport??)

Hello!

I started taking Niacin because I read it helps support Iodoral.

and I was averaging 1000mg a day with tremendous benefits such as mental fog, heart palpitations, and low energy all stopping.

the problem is my skin is now incredibly dry and I can't figure out if the only option is to decrease my dosage. is it a diuretic?

Newport, can you explain why this is happening and if there is anything I can do to prevent it? I drink a LOT of water, so am not sure what my options are beyond decreasing my dose.

ANY ANSWERS are appreciated!
