Re: Here's how

Let me interject my Particular story--I have candida glabrata, and since it's ALWAYS pathogenic (not natural to be carrying it around) I am a barely walking case study. FOR ME, at least, my diet was so lousy--wheat sugar--,then I had pelvic surgery for bladder cancer (indwelling foley catheter was the source of infection) and the standard american diet caused my body to go So incredibly acid that I broke 9 (yes, nine bones) with no trauma (broke my pelvis during intercourse! and it was low-effort intercourse btw, sorry TMI but it's important). My GERD was out of control and turned into Barrett's Esophagus. I started vomiting out of control and was chronically dehydrated which led to my kidneys failing many times. This all occurred in 12 months time. Now I am battling the C.glabrata. Acidolphus enemas rotating with Nystatin enemas (fungal infection was all around down south). Thrush in the mouth that only responded to Nystatin. Developed Interstitial Cystitis and extreme osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. NOW--I am following very very cautiously the bodyecology.com diet. At the beginning very little fat, bc the gut is leaky. I'm cross-eating the Blood Type Diet from Dr.D'Adamo, and I'm a blood type B. Very little fat, lots of veg and NOTHING that can be feeding the yeast and fungus. My Interstitial Cystitis requires my urine to be ALWAYS pH6.5+. That means alkalinizing the water with sodium bicarb and minerals, not even tap water can be drunk. No other beverages, except fresh ginger steeped in pre-boiled water. Stevia only sweetner. So far I can tolerate small amounts of beef. Trying to eat a salad with only avocado/coconut kefir(homemade) as a dressing...yes it sounds extreme, but I've been vERY sick for a year remember. I need to be alkaline from bald head to crusty fungus toes. I've almost died twice this year and I'm still only out of bed 20-30 mins a day, can't lift my head up to look at anything. The C.glabrata diagnosis took four tests (which I paid for) to get an answer bc it is easy to mistake for benign albicans (small in the petri dish, slow to grow, can take weeks to culture, etc.)I use boric acid supps. every day/night. Be very careful about advocating an acid diet here folks. Yes, some acids actually alkalinize in the body if the pancreas is healthy (mine is not)so my body drew calcium out of my bones and my osteopenia became an extreme case of porosis in five months. I have cataracts at the age of 52. I LOOKED healthy to 50+ doctors (except for the barf bag) but I lost 60lbs and kept fainting and vomiting and was short of breath (kidney disease). this is not something to take lightly. Be VERY CAREFUL. I was not gorging on ice cream. I ate a tiny piece of bread a day (not gluten sensitive either, five tests..) and sometimes desert on Sunday. And I got sick from that, by deviating a tiny bit from my lifelong habit of small meat, high veg, no starch, no alcohol, no coffee, no tea way of life that my mom, a nutritionist had started me on at age 25...be careful. sorry for the thread hijack...
