Overall I'd say, don't give up!
Given what we now know, it makes little sense to spend large sums of money for wellness. Colloidal Silver is quite possibly the most powerful Antibiotic treatment I've ever used. And it's practically free!
All you need is a current regulating diode, three nine volt batteries and some silver wire. You can order everything from places like eBay for well under 75 dollars which would give you several years worth of Colloidal Silver solution. Then... if you find you want to improve things, you can look at making larger batches with a heated stirrer etc. Though I'm quite certain that you'll find the basic silver solution to be more than enough to treat even the most difficult conditions.

PS. I also built my own blood purifier/zapper by following online schematics(see: Bob beck improved blood purifier. Which costs me an entire $25 to build. Which btw. I would have never believed to work had I not experienced it for myself.
