Fruits are probably one of the healthiest foods on earth, but I can say from my experience that it WILL definitly serve as fuel for candida. Anything that raises blood Sugar levels will help the candida grow. And this is true even without the presence of fats in the diet and even if the fruit is eaten on an empty stomach.
Despite this, it doesn't mean that one cannot heal from candida overgrowth eating fruits or carbs, because fruits have so many health benefits: vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fiber.
So eating some fruits for those benefits while adressing the candida issue why not, but claiming that the 80-10-10 diet alone will clear candida issues is just nonsense.
