This is the first time I'm posting here. I've followed the forums for the past few months, but have never written anything myself as of yet. I'm kind of going through a crazy phase where I'm just out-of-my-mind concerned over my health issues. I recently did a stool/saliva test for candida and my doctor said it was non-reactive, and that he suspects it may just be leaky gut. He also confirmed several food allergies (gluten, dairy, etc). One of my big concerns, aside from all my digestive issues, is my hair loss and brain fog! Is hair loss common or a known side effect of leaky gut? Has anyone cured theirs and had their hair grow back? My hair's been falling out for the past few months; just leaning over my keyboard, I see strands falling down. It's become extremely upsetting, as I had no issues a few months ago and now, with my hair dropping all the time, I can see noticeable scalp on the top of my head.
My digestive issues also include acid reflux. I'm not sure if it's all connected and if it's just all this stress on my body that's causing my hair to shed or it's something else?
Has anyone ever dealt with this? Is it possible for stool/saliva tests not to detect candida? (as awful as it sounds, knowing candida causes hairloss was sort of a silver lining that I'm now, once again, without)
