I am so glad you have posted this "reality check". Dogs are carnivores and to deny them that is to ignore and deny nature itself. Even MH admits his Dog loves old deer carcasses. My puppies are working on a deer skeleton right now. Its made me realize I need to find a source of healthy raw meaty bones to supplement their diet. They enjoy fruit, but I would never force them to live on that alone, nor would I give them too much sugar, I have had dogs develop diabetes in the past.
