Re: Blood Pressure Pregunta

Sometimes saliva tests can be off too, unfortunately. They give a general idea but there are various factors that can influence results. I have been known to swing from low to high cortisol, so my saliva tests have all produced different results. The hair test so far has been the most accurate because hair holds the longest and most consistent history.

Good luck with the endo. They never did squat for me. The adrenal function tests they use are archaic, and that's even if you can get them to give it to you. Usually they won't give you the ACTH unless you're showing obvious signs of Addisions or Cushings. I spent close to a week in the hospital before they even gave me a Florinef script. Oh yea, and expect to crash after the ACTH if they give it to you. They overstimulate the adrenals on purpose.

They also don't believe in saliva tests so don't bother even bringing that up. According to them, they are unreliable and just another tool of the "crackpot hippie alternative docs" (an endo actually said this to me). Endo's don't believe that adrenal fatigue exists. They believe that either your adrenals are not working at all (Addisions), Extremely overactive (cushings), or they are fine. No grey areas, according to them.

They are pretty quick to tell you about your thyroid, however, and will throw synthroid at you or offer radiation therapy at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately this makes most people much worse and some wind up losing their thyroid when surgery could have been avoided. Be careful of thyroid diagnosis, because AF almost 100% of the time causes thyroid dysfunction, but it cannot heal until adrenals heal.

But maybe you will be in the very special .5% of people who actually find an endo who is not totally clueless and perhaps even a little open minded. But, seeing an endo is like a right of passage. We've all been down that road. For me it just further solidified my opinion that conventional medicine isn't worth squat when it comes to disease and true healing.

I did use ARL. My practitioner is very good and very experienced in working with complicated cases.
