I think the injections may have helped a little. Yeah. She did five injections but only on the left side then kept the right half alone so we could compare. It didnt magically stop or reverse the peeling all togather, so I can see why people think it doesnt work but it seems the injected side might be healing a little. The peeling is thinner, the white line on inner lip seems thinner. If you pulled the lips down and looked at the inner mucosa it was red and warm to touch, definitely a sign of inflammation. That seems to have faded. Next week I go back for a biopsy. Maybe she will do more steroid on other side. I hope so because I think it slowed inflammation, I really do. I have also been trying to moisturize. I think I was making progress until my trip to the dentist Monday. Incidentally her theory is that this looks like an ulcer, similar to canker sore on the lip. Which is an autoimmune thing too.
