Re: Crashes are now so severe - this is new to me - is this a crash?

I am sorry to hear you are going through this horrible experience.

I too went down the road of psyc meds for over 14 years. I also had the insomnia, anxiety, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and feelings of hopelessness.

There is hope and especially for you as you are young. The diazepam is a tough one to come off of. But once you do you will feel much better. Adding in an SSRI may increase your anxiety, insomnia and suicidal ideation as it did for me.

You are most likely very nutrionally depleted. As Lalobear mentioned you may have a copper overload which will cause lots of problems. Magnesium deficiency will cause heart palpitations, anxiety, muscle pain etc.

NB and a good diet will help you. It will take time but you are young and should bounce back. Take a look at this website to help you understand the withdrawal you are going through.

Hope you feel better soon.
