The solution was likely contaminated. No clue with what, but if I had to guess, I'd say it has to do with the bottle.

Along these same lines, I've stored CS in plastic and glass bottles and most every plastic contained I've used ended-up tainting my solution over time. Whereas the glass didn't have these issue. I'd also look at the cop and seal, which can contribute to contamination also. Another often overlooked cause of contamination is contact with foreign objects and/or air. All of which can introduce contaminants that will contribute to precipitation over time.
