And yes, it's a series of steps, isn't it? I see my contemporaries walking the same path.

And it's freakin ridiculous that you can't get his pacemaker turned off!

One of the huge sadnesses of my life is that fact that they kept my mom on life support so that I would be able to see her "alive".

I have been down a similar road with my mom.
