Has anyone else experienced these side effects of having the Mirena?

I got Mirena put in sometime in April 2012. I have had no problems with it that I knew of until November. Unfortunate for me it happened on Thanksgiving day. I woke up with bad joint pain in my left knee and my right elbow. I thought it was how I slept so I ignored it. Well days went by and the pain did not go away; in fact, a new symptom came up.

I noticed a lump on my left shin. It was skin colored and felt like a bruise. I called the doctor and made an appointment. During this time, more lumps started appearing on my left leg and even some on my right leg. The doctor thought it was a staph infection so I took Antibiotics which did nothing. I thought these might be erythema nodosum (I've had it before years ago) but it is clearly not. These lumps have not gone away, the joint pain comes and goes. Some days I can't even walk down the stairs and other days I feel 90% normal. The lumps are on my shins, ankles, on the sides of my feet. They never go away. The doctor tested me for lyme disease, sarcoidosis, among other things. He also noticed my heart rate was too high to be normal. He can't figure out why. Then I'm thinking.. Could it be the Mirena?

My total symptoms after having Mirena are:

*Skin colored lumps on both legs,
*Joint pain,
*Dry, red skin that looks like Psoriasis on my lower left eyelid,
*Abnormally high heart rate,
*Difficulty losing weight,
*I also have noticed my vision has become out of focus or blurry.

I guess the only way to find out if it is the Mirena is if I get it removed. Anyone out there that had similar symptoms caused by Mirena? Tweet
