Your waking blood cortisol may be high, but I would certainly not take that as necessarily representative of your levels all day long.

If you have symptoms of low cortisol, it could be you do have low cortisol, at other times of the day, because you have high cortisol in the morning.

I highly recommend a 4x cortisol test. People frequently have a period or two during the day when their cortisol levels are off, one direction or the other or both.
