Re: Very Good Results with Virgin Coconut Oil
Hi,
I also suffer with FD and appreciate your post. I will give it a try. However, I have been using 100MG Doxycline (an anti-biotic) to treat my FD and it has been largely successful.
I stumbled onto this treatment after learning that FD is a Staph based infection, based on Staphylococcus Aureus and that this is often carried in the nose. I actually suffer from recurring nasal irritations as a result.
I can't remember how I made the link from Staph based infections to treatment using this anti-biotic, but after 8 years of living with it it cleared mine up within 3 days, the first time I had been pain free for a while.
So far the best I have done is to have approx 6-8 months without irritation and without needing to take
Antibiotics , but then occassionally it returns. Personally, I dont like taking the Anti-B all the time, hence looking for other remedies also.
In general, I've found that if I take this for approx 6-8 days right as the itching starts it goes away... repeat this 4-6 times and your scalp seems to learn not to bother trying to trigger the infection and therefore you can go longer and longer periods without the infection / anti-B.
I really hope this helps someone!
Cheers
Tony
