It does work to some extent (in small doses) but it can cause oxidation damage in some.

I still have some swelling issues or inflammation I'm trying to heal.

I imagine it possibly could oxidize the inside of a heart artery and cause a blockage. When the body tries to patch it up with some cholesterol.
