I must say that the day before which is when I was on mainly fruit and juice was the hardest. Day 1 was next hardest, then day 2, and now day 3 appears to be easiest.
I think it is the withdrawal symptoms we suffer that causes us discomfort. They say withdrawal can occur just for meat and protein, with nicotine being the worst and longest, and coffee and alcohol right up there. I tried giving up the last two a couple of weeks before, but I had the family party and the trip away that caused me to have alcohol close to my fast.
This is the weakest I have been (yesterday) compared to other fasts so I think the drinking and the plane trips took their toll.
