Green smoothies are made in a blender like fruit smoothies & consist of fresh fruits, veggies & greens. The fruits are the cleansers & the greens help to re-mineralize. They're nutrient dense but easy to digest (digesting foods takes a TON of energy - especially for a body that's already struggling). They're wonderfully hydrating as well. Mine tonight had kale, pineapple, celery, parsley, radishes, oranges. It was fairly green to offset the pineapple sweetness. Google it for some good recipes or have fun inventing your own concoctions. Just BE SURE to clean your produce well...drugstore hydrogen peroxide, grapefruit seed extract, etc. to kill parasites & whatever farm run off stuff it harbors.
