No you don't need to confront anybody that has caused you pain. It's best just to worry about yourself.
If you are not too physically weak, here is something to try:
First do some light stretching. Lay flat on the ground with your legs together. Bring your feet up about halfway towards your body and then open your legs all the way to the ground so that you are stretching the inside of your thighs. Relax here for about 30 seconds. Next, lift your knees up about 2 inches so the inside part of your thighs are flexing. Hold this for 2 minutes then lift your knees up another 2 inches. After awhile there probably will be some light shaking. After about 10 minutes or so, your knees should be close together with feet flat on the ground. Stay here for about 30 seconds and let your muscles relax. Finally, quickly bring your knees together. This should induce some convulsive shaking. Keep opening and closing your legs until the shaking response stops or your muscles get tired. This can go on for 20 minutes plus. If you aren't getting the convulsive shaking then go back to the leg holds to tire the muscles more.
This exercise should familiarize yourself with the body's natural trauma release response.
