Re: What has just happened to me?

I can totally relate to the strong sulphur smell going out 20 feet. It's so BIZARRE! And embarrassing beyond belief. Thankfully, I've found a small fix that *seems* to be working very nicely (although a fecal smell returns to my breath within a few hours--I suffer from both fecal and sulphur). Every morning I brush my teeth and tongue with TheraBreath toothpaste (regular). I follow the directions, which say to spread some on my tongue and let it sit there for at least 3 minutes. I just let it sit there while I shave and pick out my clothes for the day (probably closer to 10 minutes). Then I brush my tongue vigourously, and depending on how bad it is (if I didn't brush the night before), I'll most likely repeat. Then I brush my teeth. The fecal and sulphur smell are gone, but by the time I'm on the road, the sulphur comes on REALLY strong. So one day, out of desperation, I just decided to put some of the toothpaste in my mouth and let it sit there while I drive to work. I wait until I smell it diffusing and getting weaker, until it's virtually undetectable. Then I gargle it with my saliva and swallow it (it's safe). VOILA! No more sulphur breath for 20 feet!!
Golden Seal works for my fecal breath when I take eight 400 mg capsules (literally) after dinner, then go to bed. The next morning the fecal smell is gone, unless I've eaten red meat. Then it takes a few days to go away, but only if I take eight pills after each meal (it gets expensive).
I read online recently that the sulphur smell could be a result of the body's inability to break down sorbitol (sugar substitutes), fructose (sugar in fruits), and/or dairy products. I think this might be true because I've had fecal breath for as long as 4 years now, but the sulphur started recently when I went on a candida
Sugar free diet and started consuming lots of artificial sweeteners. I never eat dairy. The doctor said to cut any/all of these three things out of your diet for 2 weeks. If the smell is less intense, stay away from them. If not, keep researching.
Anyway, try it out and let me know how it goes.
