I think it would depend on a number of factors. Inability to conceive, if that is your most overwhelming desire, could lead to depression. I'm not sure of any biological connection between infertility and the likelihood of additiction but people handle Depression in many ways, one of them being hiding in the bottle or use of drugs. Some people realize that some things are just going to happen in life and move on to satisfactory lives.
