Yup, a big part of it is morale. In her book "Sink Reflections" she tells how she checked herself into a hospital with depression (after a very distressing marriage), and there she adapted the idea of always getting up early and being clean and dressed first thing. That was her first step, rebuilding her whole life as a dejected housewife with weight and health problems. And yes, she's urging mainstream American housewives to start walking 15 min. a day and drink water and use more vegetables... bit by bit. I've gotta hand the lady a lot of credit for how she turned her life around.
