you're right Slate, there does seem to be some missing link. I'm open to the possibility that candida isn't the root cause, but the product of the root cause. I mean, maybe it's a bacteria that been able to grab hold, because of anti-biotics weakening our intestinal flora. The same as C. Difficile does when some people have anti-biotics.
And, then maybe, this bacteria somehow allows this yeast overgrowth to flourish. I definitely know it's an infection of some kind because I know I caught it off a lady I was seeing. Either its the yeast that infected me, or the yeast is the byproduct of what did infect me.
If it's yeast, then, maybe working on it more consistently for a longer time might eradicate it. It seems Jorge is exploring this path right now. I have started doing that too, so it will be interesting to see the results of all use people who are doing this program.
