Does Vitamin C binds Mercury in the blood?

My Wife has 6 Amalgam fillings and she is having hair loss,Insomnia,Gray Hair,Calcium Deficiency etc.

She started taking Vitamin C few weeks back and some of her symptoms(hair loss, Insomnia) reduced little bit.

Does Vitamin C reduces effects of Mercury by binding it in the blood?
