Re: Letter to Dr. Mercola for saying iodine causes hypothyroidism

How can giving a body that is deficient in a nutrient that an organ uses, cause that organ to go into a hypo state ?

It'd be like if your dick needed substance X in order to get hard, and you ingested substance X. It wouldn't be expected that the penis would go hypo-erectoid.

It makes no sense at all.

Wolff-Chaikoff was pure propaganda and has been de-bunked many times over.

People who are "allergic" to iodine, have serious physiological issues. They should view their intolerance to this necessary nutrient as being a symptom of a much larger problem inside them. Either its a genetic defect and little can be done, or else its related to some other dietary intake problem (ingesting a toxin).
In the case of the former, seek a specialist or pray. In the case of the latter, stop putting poison in the body.
