Re: Fibrocystic Breast Disease – Treatment and Prevention
20 years of FBD. I have been through most of these therapies, except for a couple of the herbs, and as I am a homeopath per education I will start with that.
Lac Caninum is the most interesting remedy mentioned as it is made of cats milk (!) and have the symptoms I had. Done it.
The others may work, but to have a hit in homeopathy the symptoms usually needs to cover the constitution, not only the symptoms like for example the FBD symptoms mentioned.
In my case homeopathy has been great for many things, especially acute things, and for kids, but never managed to cure my FBD or other chronic stuff I had. One of the reasons why I turned away from homeopathy a bit, was that it didnt have a lasting effect. 5 years education; access to top homeopaths in my country; a hard pill to swallow :-)
Primrose oil; did it for half a year, no effect.
soy, did a couple of years when I was vegetarian, no effect on FBD.
Different types, like natto, soy milk, soy burgers etc.
I stopped soy after a while as I didnt seem to digest it very well (cramping, indigestion)
Vitamin E is interesting; so the comment on selenium deficiency in New Zealand(in the post below) as I did extended vit E (400 mg daily)before and after my last pregnancy and was better for a while.
Selenium because we are low over here to, and it is an important companion to
Iodine / Thyroid hormones.
The article is more a bunch of suggestion of what to do,
- not your usual evidence and science. You can do better than this!
