I have been taking oregano oil for many months now, for a severe golden staph infection. At one stage I took high doses. I have no indication that it harmed my kidneys. My golden staph has been improving.

Carvacrol and Thymol may be more harsh than the essential oils.

As you have pain, try to get a diagnosis, or figure out what is causing the pain.

If you think you have kidney damage, there are many herbs which can help. One example is horsetail. This is a herb, not part of a horse.

If you think you have a kidney infection, you could use buchu or uva-ursi. Tweet
