What works for me

I have suffered with these cyst since 2008. On average I get at least three cyst absecess per year. I have had them lanced twice and been given Antibiotics Keflex which never works. Tested for STDs which came back negative.What works for me now when my bartholin cyst flares up is a sitz bath of hot water with tea tree oil 2 times a day and by the 2nd to 3rd day the cyst drains on its own without requiring lancing. The sitz bath shortens the duration of sufferring. Previously I would suffer a whole week with it, the pain was so bad I was unable to walk and my job requires a lot of standing, but now 2-3 days max and it drains on its own.
I had one where the GYN placed a word catheter and it stayed in for 2 weeks but a month later I got another cyst. Now I don't get them lanced anymore if I feel it swelling on my right side(always that one side)I just do the sitz bath and next 2 days it drains on its own. Of course its very painful a couple of hours before it drains so I take some ibuprofen. I also do the sitz bath after sex to prevent it from swelling. I read about silica complex helping to shrink the cyst, has anyone tried it with positive results?
I get my tea tree oil from whole foods and I got the sitz basin from CVS. Hope this helps someone out there. Tweet
