I know someone who has Graves Disease, and they frequently take her off the dangerous drugs (like thuyroxil) that reduce her swelling and inflammation at the eyes.
Her symptoms are worst when she just wakes up, early in the day. The white parts of her eyeballs are now bulging forward, almost spilling out to overlap the skin under her eyes.
She has already had an operation behind her eyes to "bring the eyes back in the socket", but obviously, doctors have no clue of how to stop this apparently thyroid-related swelling.
I have tried to get her to try Bugleweed/Motherwort extract (by HerbPharm), but I haven't convinced her to try it, yet. Is my advice sound?
Does anyone have any advice I can give her?
