I had the same experience. The OB/GYN said it was not the Mirena and I had a "serious neurological problem" and sent me back to my primary care Dr. for testing. She thought right off it was probably the IUD and advised removal. If some of the symptoms didn't resolve, then she would send me for testing. Never had to have the tests ! The OB/GYN removed it but against his wishes. I never went back to him and he had been my Dr. for years and even delivered my daughter. I went to a new OB/GYN who was a clueless as he was so I am still looking for the right Dr. for me. It is very scary that these Dr.s can put their little heads so far back in the cave !!
