Re: help for an abscess whose infection has spread to the jaw bone ...please help
dear laura,
thanks so much for your very helpful post!
i am so thankful that caring people such as yourself, are still taking the time to add to my thread -
more GREAT suggestions to try, while i'm unable to get dental care,
AND help for others who in the future may find themselves with the same problem!
it may not be the same as the protocol you're referencing (i'll go check that on utube),
but i did read about a nutritional protocol with butter oil, fermented cod liver oil, and a 'carnivorous' diet, but...
besides the fact that i'm not very comfortable eating meat, and don't know if i could eat 'organ' meat...
for me, i couldnt afford to do the protocol...
i tried adding butter oil to my diet, but it was $50 a jar, and regular fish oil - couldnt afford the fermented cod kind, and i cant afford to change my diet.
i know some people may shrug, that if i care about my health i'd make it happen, but i can barely afford food of any sort now, and i have to eat whatever i have access to...
and the butter oil, alone, i wasn't able to add enough to my diet because i struggled to find things i could add it to...i couldnt just take it by the spoonful
...so, so far the butter oil - i'm not blaming the protocol, because i havent been able to afford to do the whole protocol, but, i don't think that what i could do, has helped, and i've possibly wasted money i couldnt afford to lose...
it is also my understanding that the protocol(s) say that once a tooth's been compromised by having a filling (or worse, by being root canaled),
that the protocol's effects are limited and, all but (i am so upset about this--) my front teeth have fillings! :(
and i'm sure there are some other people in the same situation, and now what can we do, lose all our teeth? :(
...i tried a dab of oregano oil straight, and also adding a bit to my oil for oil pulling, but it was so bitter, and i dont know if it helped
***i tried an opened d-limonene softgel,
mixed with a bit of usp grade dmso from a glass bottle (never buy dmso sold or manufactured in plastic, and never, when handling it, let it touch plastic, it dissolves the plastic and would take that to your bloodstream which u dont really want...) and swabbed my gums with that, and it was ***pleasant*** and i think it's helped...
***the cayenne i think is a fabulous idea! i just, TODAY, saw a bottle of cayenne caps in my medicine cabinet and i thought -
(to anyone reading this, if you've never taken cayenne capsules by mouth before, if u have any known "ulcer" at all, do not take them!
and in any case, please be careful, some people have to run to the bathroom after taking them, and/or they feel warmth to burning inside...
and, i dont know if it would help, but i'd say have some pepto bismol or other bismuth drink close by, in hopes that it could help with any burning...
thankfully, the capsules havent bothered my stomach, so) -
i thought maybe if i, cautiously, take some capsules by mouth (in addition to dabbing a bit of powder near the infection), maybe it will be good for my teeth, systemically...
i wanted to tell any others who may find this, i have had good results with capsules of clove taken internally.
i was able to get some cheaper from swansonvitaminsdotcom by swanson's own brand, but i had even better results with a brand called kroger.
in the past, when the infection wasnt so bad, i think i took 1 in the mornings and 1 at night, but when the infection got bad, i was taking - the swanson brand which seemed a little weaker - *2 every 4 hours*,
along with d-limonene softgels internally,
in the past, 1 a day ...when the infection got really bad, *1 every 4 hours*
..........but i was reluctant to stay on these for longer than 10 days at a time without a break, because i was worried the infection would get resistant and they wouldnt work anymore, so i am taking a break from those...
tomorrow, i might try ONION slices :) supposed to be very drawing of infection ...i'll keep posting what helps and what doesnt......
THANKS, LAURA! :)
