If you read my post... I wasn't *recommending* it at all... just stating that I have done it myself to point out a *fact* that I suffered no ill from doing so. Of course YMMV... people need to use some common sense when it comes to THEMSELVES.
We are ALL different.
I have consumed raw milk on and off all of my life... living on it for the first 10 years or so, most often right out of the cow warm at breakfast.
I also emphasize this to point out.. it all comes down to the QUALITY of the milk which is DEPENDENT UPON the quality of the dairy animal - PERIOD.
I get so irritated at people for not understanding that... what is so hard about knowing a good quality animal from a bad quality animal and a good quality food from a bad quality food?
A bad apple tastes bad... right off the tree or not - the TREE it cam from is SICK and/or POLLUTED... a good quality apple from a healthy tree tastes good right off the tree and is GOOD for you... bad a dairy animals produce bad dairy from the get go... the cow is weak, sick, and very likely treated poorly, fed poorly, and/or kept in a poor environment.
I shouldn't have to spell that all out, but damn... some people just can't figure it out.
Commercially the reason we have BAD food in our stores is because people raise sickened, poisoned crops and sickened poisoned animals.
