Update on Salivary Stones/use of IO
Last week I posted about severe pain I was during the middle of the night and upon investigating in the AM, I found what I thought to be stones in the salivary glands. Wombat posted a chart on where these glands are and sure enough, that is exactly where I felt these stones.
I was using a warm rag up to that point to relieve some of the pain but after the posts at CZ and cruising around the net looking for info on this in relationship to
Iodine I decided to start taking
SSKI , upwards to about 130 mg a day along with
Lugols (about four drops).
I have passed ALL the small stones and there is only the one large one that I thought was blocking the others from moving. The large one today feels smaller, if it is I cannot be sure, could be the inflammation is down but this leads me to believe it can be remedied with
SSKI . The sources found said about 3-4 months, so that is my expectation at this point! =)
Now I'm waiting to see what happens with the root canalled teeth over on that side. If this dose of
Iodine will help resolve what is going on there or if it won't have any effect. Because I found out that gutta percha (used in
root canals as a sealant) has cadmium or mercury salts, is it possible the
Iodine is pulling this out being it's such a good chelator of these toxic metals? Or is my thinking/info not correct on this action of iodine? I see my dentist on Friday. I did not make my appt last thursday because I was throwing up, am sure it was from the stones themselves as I was also running a fever with it all.
Anyhow,
SSKI works for salivary stones!!!!
