My mom also says that this pain around her ear is almost like pressure that is being applied in that region. She says that she has to use her hand to help her head up when she gets up, or it feels like it will "fall off" otherwise. It's been getting worse every day since a little over a week ago, a few days after the PET scan. She also says that she often feels this pain and pressure all over the head and that her entire head hurts. The PET scan says that the head and neck region is "unremarkable."

What about fever?   If there is also a fever she needs to get to the hospital right away and have that checked out.

Her inflamed areas seem to be spreading again, with bumps/peaks forming here and there on the adjacent skin. Right under her right arm, around her armpit, she also developed a kind of wrinkle-pit, the kind you see on your palms when you clench them a bit.

The skin that was turning to pink is turning back into a deeper red. She even had blood coming out again briefly, but says that it's possible that she hurt herself without knowing it.

What do you think the decrease in skin thickening by half mean?

The skin can thin out is there is not enough vitamin C to maintain collagen and elastin.  Stress, including pain, will decrease vitamin C levels to the tissues.

After increasing the ozone dose a bit (<50 ug), she says that an ozone smell comes out of her mouth right after. Is this normal?

Yes, ozone will go throughout the body's tissues.  For example, after about 20 minutes of doing rectal insufflation if you smell your skin on your arm you will smell the ozone coming out from the skin.
