Try avoiding cow dairy (milk, cheese, cream, yoghurt, etc.) for a week and seeing if the mucus dries up.

As much as I love the taste of cow dairy, I know that a day or two after drinking/eating any, my nose will start get congested and stuff.

Sure, I miss it, however, I also like being able to breath through my nose, so have learned to just go without.
