Re: How much Foti to take?
I just bought some foti powder that said 10:1 extract. If I understand it right, 10:1 means it needed 10 parts of foti root to get 1 part of the benefial components.
My questions are:
1. Could you explain what this mean?
10:1 means it takes 10 pounds of the herb to make one pound of the extract 1 pound of the extract. A 4:1 means 4 pounds of herbs are used to make a pound of extract, and so on. After the herbs are extracted and concentrated they mix in a base, usually maltodextrin, and the whole mix is dried and powdered.
2. How much can I take per day in order to reverse (hopefully) my graying?
I recommend an 1/8th of a teaspoon 3 times daily at least 20 minutes before meals.
3. I am a little concern because the powder tasted kind of sweet and good, not bitter like I anticipated. This is a herb that can eat and actually enjoy!
The sweetness is going to be from the maltodextrin, which is a carbohydrate.
You input is very much appreciated.
LongNhi
PS: Welcome back! I hope that you had a great time relaxing and sightseeing.
Yes, it was really nice other than being extremely cold.
I have to refrain myself from asking until I see the list starts to go down; my question somewhat falls in the category of vanity and there are others that have much more important issues to ask; it feels a little odd to be ahead of those people. But if you are back and can answer so quickly, I thought may be I can fall into that small crack without disturbing the need of others too much.
No problem.
