Re: Here's how

In an alkaline environment, candida changes from a yeast to a harmful fungal form. The acidic environment keeps it in a less pathogenic (more normal) yeast-like state.

I'm alkaline and have really bad infections.

Go to the Truth in Medicine forum and Hv can explain it further.

Vinegar is iffy. The coconut vinegar is healthier than ACV. I am finding, tho, that I cannot tolerate vinegar after several trials. it could be die-off or it could be feeding the pathogens...I'm not sure, so I'm going to avoid it.

It's hard to say what works 100%. What works for some can send others reeling and vice versa.

I wish there were concrete answers, for this is the most frustrating thing ever.

And, from my research, most people with infections are alkaline. The acidic environment keeps pathogens in-check, for most pathogens prefer a more alkaline surrounding (hence the reason the good flora thrive in an acidic environment...and hence the reason why they have the word "acid" in their name: ACIDolphilus, for example).
