I started flushing a little over a year ago doing one once a month or six weeks or so--whenever there was a holiday so I'd be off work. I missed a month somewhere in there though. I have to take a day off if there is no holiday. I've since started flushing every 3 weeks if I can. My liver usually tells me it's ready for one. Actually usually in 2 weeks I feel like it needs it again. But I can't be taking that many days off for this. I can't do it on a regular weekend. I need an extra day. Many people do them every 2 weeks safely. I would probably try that if my circumstances were different. I would say listen to your body.
I only have 1 friend locally who knows I'm doing this. I am too ill and have so little strength from working and trying to function in a world that is so toxic for me that I have very few social activities that this interferes with. I imagine if I were a more social person and actually had a life it would be harder. I don't let it interfere with my activities on Sunday morning that are so important to me which is why I need the extra day. I do my household stuff on Saturday. Attend my religious meetings on Sunday morning and start the flush on Sunday evening into Monday. Unless there's a holiday and I'm off on Friday and I do the flush Friday into Saturday. It does cut into your life some, but as ill as I've been and I'm seeing results so it makes it worthwhile for me to persevere. Hopefully someday I will have a life again to be interferred with. :)
