Re: Enterovirus

Hello,
There is an enterovirus foundation.
http://www.enterovirusfoundation.org/chronicinfections.shtml

Dr John Chia does a lot of work in this area and is on the board of directors. His son had Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome and itturns out he had this virus. There really is no treatment for it as there is for AIDS or herpes viruses. For his son, he used oxymatrine which is a Th2-Th1 shifter. When I read more about it online in Pubmed it turns out it does other beneficial things as well such as combat oxidative stress. Once you start reading about viruses you learn that studies are showing they won't replicate in a reduced (no excess oxdative stress) environment. So, getting that under control is paramount.

So, what I'm going to do is :

a. continue working on my oxidative stress and test regularly both through laboratoirre phillip in france (isoprostane - marker of fatty acid oxidation) and through Health research institute in new jersey (reduced gluathione)

b. oxymatrine - to shift Th2 to Th1 (assuming there is a problem there!)

c. chelate in case metals are interfering with immune function and glutathione

A couple more interesting things - the biopsy tells you whether you have entirovirus or not but not which type. there is an antibody test at ARUP which does test 11 types ; there are more than 11 types so it's possible you couldhave a type they don't test for. I'm also going to do this test to hopefully get an elevated titre that I can track.

Let me know if I can provide more info.
