Re: fluoride detox for toddler w/circadian rhythm disorder?
Thank you for all of the suggestions. My daughter has always gotten less overall sleep than is recommended for kids of a given age. At around 18 months she was taking only one 30-minute nap a day and would wake up in a horrible mood, which we resolved by removing high-oxalate foods from her diet. Since that revelation, she has taken one 1-hour nap per day. We have recently been using homemade sauerkraut and kefir for probiotics, and the die-off effect makes it so she can't nap at all many days, so I have to remember to back off of those sometimes. When she doesn't nap she goes to bed ~2 hours earlier but she is obviously exhausted by that time. We do use 1/2 of a sublingual melatonin tablet most nights, but it doesn't help her fall asleep earlier, just quiets her down at the time when we expect her to be about ready anyway (an hour later every night).
We have been doing the Borax and so far it seems to help neutralize her normally acidic urine (usually full of ammonia). I will try adding the
Lugol's next week. She can't take vitamin C because it gives her oxalate issues, but I have let her shake some
Sea Salt onto the counter and then lick it off her finger. She asks to do it so I figure her body must need it.
