One other tip, on hormones, in case it helps anyone.
You might want to check out Dr. Michael Lam's site re thyroid, adrenals & estrogen dominance.
After I had a hysterectomy I was put on estrogen - not the kind that comes from horse's urine (through a process that is abusive to those animals) - but a patch from soy. Then I learned I also needed progesterone, thru info on the web.
Originally I got a prescription patch that had progesterone added into it. But I found that yam cream for estrogen and a bioidentical progesterone cream, available from places like Vitacost & Swanson's, worked better and were far less expensive even with a prescription! (The containers hold what will last a very, very long time.)
What works for me personally is to take abt 1/16 tsp or so of each and rub them into the tops of my thighs. If your breasts start to feel tender you have too much of the estrogen. If really good looking guys don't look that good looking any more, you need more estrogen. ;-)
